It is a sad day here in CT for us Rock fans. WCCC 106.9 changed formats a little while back to Classic Rock.... and we found out this week that the station is now ending at 5pm today. That have been celebrating the History Of WCCC which is running from 12-5pm today. WCCC The Rock 106.9 has been an AMAZING station for all of these years... Howard Stern had his start here in Hartford, CT at WCCC! As much as it flat out stinks to see this go - I also sit here with a smile on my face due to the amazing support this station has shown to Pop Evil. Mike Karolyi has played a HUGE part in getting Pop Evil played on air here in CT. From the beginning WCCC has shown such true support for Pop Evil... having Pop Evil perform a free show at the Block Party in Hartford, the Big Gig each year, Private Acoustic Shows in Hartford, WCCC Live Planet Of Sound CD Release Party featuring Pop Evil, Meet n Greets, etc.... the list can go on and on. Being a long time Pop Evil fan and seeing over the years how WCCC has supported Pop Evil is truly something that I am personally thankful for. Mike Karolyi and EVERYONE from WCCC I will miss hearing all of you on air and I along with the rest of Pop Evil Nation THANK YOU for EVERYTHING you have ever done for this band. Thank you for always showing your support! WCCC 106.9 will always be THE ROCK in my eyes!
