It is always nice to hear how the skills students learn in CTE are being put to use! See what Mr. Truog experienced as he walked out to a flat tire last night after leaving the SkillsUSA Ice Cream Social. A special thank you to SkillsUSA officer, auto student, thespian and all-around great BUHS senior Adam Dimas for showing off what he learned in Mr. Bauer’s Automotive class during the tire fix. He even noticed when the cheap jack that comes with a car was tilting (“just like you showed us in class, Mr. Bauer” he said) and we had to get the jack from the auto shop. He had the tire off and the donut on before I could blink and also had a list of recommendations for what to do next that he learned in Mr. Bauer’s class as well as at his job in the automotive industry. You could not ask for a finer representation of CTE at work!
