It is easy to get angry about the perception of anti-Israel bias in much of the media. You can point out the disproportionate criticism aimed at Israel compared to the real horrors perpetrated in Syria, Libya, Darfur, Iran et al. You can complain about the constant references to the relative Israeli-Palestinian body count without mentioning the effort - both physical and financial - that Israel expends trying to protect its people compared to the disregard Hamas places on its own civilian population. You can even wonder at the sheer stupidity of well meaning liberals who blindly align themselves with funamentalist Islam against a liberal democracy. But having just read about a growing clamour in Israel for the Backstreet Boys to re-schedule the concerts they apparently recently cancelled for security reasons, I have to say that the true threat to Israeli legitimacy seems to come from its appalling taste in music!
