It is funny how life keeps throwing curve balls at you. After - TopicsExpress

It is funny how life keeps throwing curve balls at you. After being away from my hometown for a whole year...we finally got brave and took our first weekend trip since diagnosis. It is a tough call to take an overnight trip because we never like to be very far from our local paediatric oncology clinic or Sick Kids...in case of fever. Fevers are scary...for Jordan and for us. The plan was to visit with Gramma and Poppa and to celebrate Christmas with my brother and his family. Our trip was cut short just as our Christmas lunch was being set on the table. Jordan was sick and became feverish. The fever was up and down so we packed up and headed home. Left North Bay a little light though as the boys and Kyser stayed with Gramma and Poppa. Southlake confirmed a fever likely due to a virus. Got some Tylenol and Ondansetron on board and Jordan was much better. Thankfully she is sleeping in her own bed again tonight. She had a tough day. Life for us is pretty normal now but one fever and you find your heart racing and some familiar fears setting in
