It is great meeting people who are just as crazy as you are. About the same time I bought the land for Banana Azul (2004), this guy named Robert Hunter bought a small mountain in the town of Parrita (between Jaco & Manual Antonio on Pacific side). Like, myself, Robert had a vision of creating a space that people can immerse themselves into beautiful, tropical natural living settings. The project, named Alazan is an eco-friendly, intentional community. alazancostarica/ I have crossed paths with Robert for many years while staying in Hotel Colours in San Jose. Over these years, we have shared our visions and lamented over our many struggles. Despite many offers, I had yet to visit Roberts Project, I never made the time. I finally made the journey and I was really impressed. Knowing that if and when the day ever came that I would leave the hotel, I could easily see myself settling into a community like this.
