It is madness and without strategic vision. Israel digs its own grave. Its a country in the middle of an ocean of arab nations. Its border neighbours are palestine, lebanon, jordan, syria and egypt. Closest non-arab country is turkey and relations are not better than arabs with turks either. The closest non-arab non muslim country must be greece and it is thousands of kilometers away. How do you survive for long term in an environment where your neighbours ( or neighbour nations) hate you more than their own interests? Yes you can survive for a while and dominate the region for a while but it cant go forever, it is against the nature of the world or history what ever you say. The balance of power will soon or later but eventually definitely change or get more balanced. What are you gonna do then? What are you going to do in the middle of 400 million of arabs, far far away from the closest friendly state ( careful, not friendly nation because israel has friendly governments but not friendly nations especially after these and recent years attacks)? What are you going to do when those friendly states become too preoccupied with their own problems and decline and crumble? You are putting seeds of hatred which will stay for generations. These generations will remember these days. You can not just kill and terrorise people who has ties with 400 million people around you. And guess what; probably those 400 million will still be around 50 years from now. This is not a hatred or a revenge message but a genuine resulting from observations of today and history. As a result this is not a rational strategy for israel, not for long term. It is carrying fuel to the fire it will first burn israel, dont do it.
