It is not my country. I cannot vote in, or change their system. Yet, I cannot help but feel the pain. And shame on the VA south of the border. My dad worked for the department of Veterans affairs in the early 1960s, travelling to the remotest parts of Northern Ontario to ensure WWII veterans received the care they needed. His final years were spent under the care of the Veterans wing at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Although, I read unsettling reports that our government is failing our brave soldiers who did all the heavy lifting in Afganhistan; actually peacekeeping and rebuilding.....
