It is perfectly legal to record conversations if you feel criminals are plotting against you, your wealth, your health, or whatever, to save yourself. No iPhone? Download phone recorder apps of all kinds via google play. You also can have your witnesses hear conversations, and it will be as if they HEARD it on the speaker phone, or being there... (admissible in a court of law in California!) People who can defend you, but dont believe you, will believe you now!!! I would NEVER record private conversations among friends. I consider such action as ultimate betrayal. Even if you wanna write a memoir, say it from ur hearts memory, not secretely recordings. But no law will say i cannot use technology to DEFEND myself against criminals.
