It is quite frustrating reading comments like this after 24 years of multi-parties in Cameroon. Unlike what is obtained elsewhere with even smaller countries making major strife in their democratic process we prefer to retrogress. It is obvious from such observation that the present regime had never entertained modern democracy as they were forced into accepting it in 1990. A system where the opposition as regarded as an enemy that must be slaughter at all cost can never bring the necessary development and vision 2035 may be a mere illusion after most of its proponents might not be too lucky to give accountability at that time. It is quite shocking and embarrassing that for 24 years of the so call multi-party democracy no single member bill especially from the opposition had ever gone beyond the chairmen conference yet we pride ourselves with a parliament that is functional. Surely Cameroonians are watching and the time for reckoning will soon come. You call fool some people at a time but you can not fool time all the time. Can we not learn from the experiences of other African countries. Have bother to ask ourselves why in the early 70s Cameroon was able to offer Aid to Korea but today we find ourselves cap in begging for Aid from the same country we rescued some many years ago? From all indications judging from the actions of those suppose to govern and lead this country the absence of love of country is glaring. If nothing is done to reverse this current trend then tomorrow Cameroonians will not be driven from Gabon and Equatorial Guinea but the country will be soliciting for Aid from these countries.
