It is recommended to read Surat al Kahf every Friday but for me, I canot read arab nor can I fully understand it if I just listen to a recitation. I read the English translation but I still want the benefits of listening to it (you are rewarded for every letter heard). Its different hearing it in arabi sooo this is my solution. I listen to this on my way to work, while Im on the train or I plug it into my car if Im driving. Sometimes I just pull it up on Quran explorer and read/listen to it but sometimes my reading is faster than the recitation so I listen to it first (paints a picture on my commute) then I read it. Hope this helps a few of you. Jum3a Mubarak! “Whoever reads Surah al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” (Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249) As a Hadeeth (prophetic statement) in At-Tirmithi proves: “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allaah, he will have a reward, and this reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that Alif, Laam, Meem (a combination of letters frequently mentioned in the Holy Quran) is a letter, rather I am saying that ‘Alif’ is a letter, ‘Laam’ is a letter and ‘Meem’ is a letter.” [At-Tirmithi]
