It is ridiculous to note CIT still follows the day old system of student counseling.Leave letter, OD are all evidences of their activity and are to the self responsibility of students.Get outcome as their involvement in the syllabus, that will do. It can be simply individual specific assignments for every lecture module that could be submitted to his own wish irrespective of time and schedule.The course module I prepared is with the chairman of governing council.With the management too. It is highly idiotic the councellors as tutors are to inform the HOD before giving permission.Is is not a binding procedure causing nuisance in the routine?. Instead, OD, and leave can be sanctioned only by HOD with due proof sent online.Do not make any one stand out for permission.Make every one outstanding. The duty of counselors is to promote self of every individual to the purpose that has a lot more on academics than punctuality. Realise it is internet era.It is only authentication entrusted on you, not authority. Sounds meaningless as senior tutor, tutor and all as there are situations when a faculty is both senior and tutor. Let the capacity stand , not hierarchy. Easily accessible is the base for transparency.Some of the faculty have filters to their emails too and that appears as self protective and dominant.
