It is truly heartwarming to see everyones gracious comments about the race and volunteers today. I think the best quality about our people is their energy. Runners from out of state probably had no idea that the reason the volunteers were so amazing is because almost all of them were friends with Jacob. From those who may have only recently met him, to the people who worked with him for the last 15 years - each person out on the course was filled with the energy and enthusiasm to carry on our friend Jacobs legacy of this great race that he envisioned. Our race team is made up of some of Jacobs closest friends. We picked up the pieces six weeks ago not knowing where to start. We just knew we had to make it happen and Im so humbled to have been a part of it. Thank you all SO much for helping us keep this race alive. #R4J
