It looks like they did not use my comments on channel 25 news. although they did show me in the background at 11:00 p.m. newscast. however, what is important is that media and others know that midlands transit riders association is out there and active, and the riders have a voice, that as of May 18,2014, we will have Sunday routes reinstated, which will help with employment and entertainment opportunities. Both of which will help our area grow economically. Now if can get the buses running later. Walter Durst and I are working on appearing on a local weekly interview news show on one of the networks. I will get more specific on that within the next day or two, when I have some final things confirmed. We are always looking for volunteer committee members, and have a couple of executive board positions open. always fund raising (no one at MTRA gets paid. 100% of the money goes towards operations. so you can always donate through crowdfunding site fundanything, founded by donald trump, or you can mail us a donation at p.o. box 263, columbia, S.C. 29202. Remember, the more peole that speak out for a better transit system, the sooner we will get one. This not only includes the Comet, but your locally elected officals. you need to remind them if they are not helping to better the transit system to your satisfaction, you have the ability to kick them out of office. i am encouraging not only myself (communicatins director for MTRA),and our officers to write letters to the editor and op-ed pieces discussing the importance and benefit of a better bus system to our community, but anyone who would like to see a better transit system.
