It may seem redundant to claim the blood of Christ as often as I propose that we do. But as Christians our mission in this life is to carry the power of God to humanity. By claiming the power of the blood over our own life we are staking our claim into the position we hold in Christ! An increase of the supposed “redundancy” of pleading the blood can lead to a decrease in the error of fear on our part. The power of the blood of Christ can not be overstated for through it we have been positioned to sit above all things in the thrown room of God. So we go prayerfully and consciously into every social situation with the Holy Spirit taking the lead. We can claim Gods power over our mouth, over our ears, over our minds, and over our interactions with others. We can claim to be crucified with Christ. God loves a confession like this! We (you and I) can pray for continued interventions from the Lord for ourselves in regards to how we relate to others. God has already provided love for people we interact with but we ask that His love may be transmitted through us. We ask for ourselves so that we will be able to accept our crucified state during the social challenges we face. It’s a hostile world and we can create more hostility to it by reacting to it outside of the Lord. God will work all things out to our good as well as to the good of others IF we let Him. There is power in Christ’s shed blood and God is waiting for us to abandon ourselves to that power so that He can move in our lives and in the lives of others.
