It s a dirty national political scheme for Cabinet Secretary of Education Prof. Kaimenyi to decline ranking of schools performance traditionally in exams results accordingly by announcing Top pupils, Top County, Top Public Schools, Top Private Schools and To girl candidate and top boy candidate in 2014 Kenya Primary Certificate of Education (KCPE) results. What Prof. Kaimenyi has done is to demean devolution values and defeat education competitiveness in schooling. The reasons given by CS Prof Kaimenyi does not add up. If school performance in exams is ranked, education in Kenya will be of high value and teachers will pride in their profession. Leaders in counties that perform poorly shall have reason to work harder in facilitating education in their respective counties. Its s healthy business to learn from winners. Now, how will facilitation of education in poor counties feature if education is gonna be dull as it is now under Prof. Kaimenyi? Is the national government trying to defeat devolution at the expense of teaching profession and education of our children in Kenya?
