It seems that some of my friends do not understand the scope of my care for my.mother. first of all she comes first and do do her needs. I know other people that take care of their parent or parents. Our commitment is above and beyond the call of duty. Everything gets put on hold and often we cant always get out to socialize. There are times when my friends need me and I just cant get away. This is a 24/7 obligation I voluntarily took on. A friend of mine who visits her mother and runs her errands and gets out of dodge does not understand my situation. She has her own place and does not live with her mom. Recently her mom fell and injured herself. She sent me messages that she needed a friend. I tried to get over to her house but was not able due to car problems and this nasty uti. She texted me that her mom had fallen while we were on vacation. I am sorry but I have my own mother to care for and I think she is mad at me for not being there for her. I did reach out to her but no response. Bottom line is was I wrong? I am sorry I cant be there but I dont know what I could do for her since she doesnt want to talk about her mom.
