It started with a plate of spaghetti that I placed in the microwave to reheat. Of course the paper towel I tucked around it to catch the spatter dislodged and sauce went everywhere, requiring me to remove the rotating glass plate from inside the microwave and hand wash it since it did not fit in the dishwasher...mistake number two. Mistake number three was air-drying that danged plate instead of grabbing a dish towel and drying it by hand. By the end of the evening, we no longer had a shatter-proof plate for the microwave, but two halves of the aforementioned plate. Somehow the microwave plate did a double-back flip and landed on the floor just inches from my perpetually bare foot. At last, a stroke of luck. The following day,T;other half got cabin fever and went to the store where we bought the microwave, certain they would have parts for this item. No such luck. Enter new microwave and a redecorating spree that is not yet over..
