It was 34 Years ago Today That I Was Born Again! I shall never forget the Saturday night that I came home from a night of partying and my brother Rick was sitting there on that love seat in the living room of the old house in Atlanta. I said what are you doing here? He said I wanted to come and see you and share with you what happen in my life, I said, what happen? He shared with me how that a man he worked with had shared the Gospel with him and he had Trusted The Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and had been Born Again. Needless to say I really did not understand what he was sharing with me but I knew there was something different about him. After a little small talk my brother shared with me The Gospel and reached out his hand and ask did I want to be Saved. I told him not now, maybe later. It was then and there I feel under conviction of The Holy Spirit of God about the condition of my soul. Keep in mind, I really did not understand what was happening at the time, I did not know anything about God, The Bible, Church or any Spiritual Matters. But in my heart, mind and soul I knew something was wrong or missing. I lived with this condition until the following Friday. It was then I received a call from my brother about 10am in the morning and he told me that he had been praying for me and was wondering if I was ok? It was at that moment that I said “No” and ask if he could come and see me? He said that he would try and get off work as soon as he could and come to the house. He then quoted to me Romans 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. He told me he loved me and would see me as soon as he could. A few moments later there at that same love seat, I made an alter and got on my knees and cried out to Jesus to forgive me and help me! It was there and then my life changed! As best I knew, as best as I could understand, and as best I knew, I by faith trusted The Lord Jesus Christ as my own Personal SAVIOR. My brother called me back a few moments later and told me he could not get off work until that afternoon but he would be there as soon as possible. I then shared with him that I had already made an alter and cried out to The Lord and that HE Saved me! Needless to say, he rejoiced with me and said he would see me that afternoon. That’s been 34 years, a lot of things have happen in that time but God has blessed me more that I deserve. I’ve done a lot of things wrong in my life and have struggled with sin all the way up and including today. But God has been Faithful, The Lord Jesus Christ granted to me Salvation that He Paid for and that is His Gift to me without condition. The Holy Spirit has enabled me to be a better Christian and to try and live for God and my fellow man every day. I fail many times but I shall never give up on my faith? One more thing, have YOU come to a place in your life that you have trusted by Faith The Lord Jesus Christ as Your Savior?
