It was 44 years ago that I became a follower of Jesus the Christ. Wow what a ride. I was 19 years old and I am now 63 years old and I am more aware that people need the Lord. They dont need politics as usual, or religious dogma giving them a dogma bite, or more financial securities in an insecure world financial system or another heated debate as people take de-bait to argue another inarguable point. In a world filled with bad news, we sure could use some good news. That is what the Gospel means, good news. Jesus died on the cross in our place, He was buried, and on the 3rd day He was raised from the dead. The cause and effect was salvation. Not just fire insurance to escape hell, but deliverance, healing, wholeness, provision, peace. The older I get, the more I see how I cant see. The wind blows, I dont see it, but I breathe deeply as I see the tree limbs and leaves move from the effect of what I cant see. In this swirling, whirling, ball of confusion, where we can run, run, run, but cant hide, people, even if they dont admit it, need the Lord.
