It was March 28th 1975...Saigon was falling and the entire 7th Fleet was deployed or deploying. Bobby was getting ready to leave for Vietnam and our second baby was overdue!! Good Friday they were to leave but because his ship was escorting Korean Gunboats to Hawaii on the way and the seas were too rough for the tiny Korean boats the decision was made for USS Barbour County to wait the weekend...Easter Weekend...to make a longer story short Jennifer Rebekah Hanson made her arrival on Saturday March 29th!!! Daddy got to see you before he left on Easter Sunday March 30th. He was gone for almost a year and my prayers were answered that he was able to see you before he left. You are a blessing to the entire family as you take on the role of oldest sister and have always been there for all you siblings while still raising a good size family of boys. We Love You!! Happy Birthday!!!
