It was about time something embarrassing happened to me -- I am completely mortified at this moment- I have never felt so embarrassed in my life and I must purge this feeling to the world right now. I was with my good friend Noah Simon at a Shabbat Service - which is The Jewish Sabbath, a day of rest and spiritual enrichment.. We had been befriending Israelis all night and enjoying the cultural aspect of the evening . Of course I talked about $3 Shows and talked about how awesome the Austin community is! And all the Israelis have a very sarcastic sense of humor so OF COURSE I was trying to fit in... So every now and then Id try to make a crude joke and they seemed to like it. We were on our way out and I heard them joking around so I thought...let me tell them the joke people always play on me. SO MANY PEOPLE (although this is extremely immature ) come up to me and say Hey lauren you got any $3 Hoes at the shows AND ITS AWFUL .....ABSOLUTELY AWFUL-- in fact it is so awful that I usually try and not even think about those people! But for some reason.. tonight I thought these guys would think this is funny... so I started to talk about it and started to say the $3 hoes description and as soon as Hoes came out THE WHOLE ENTIRE ROOM WENT SILENT!!!!! DEAD SILENT>. every single Rabbi and orthodox jew was silent and staring at me--- i tried to correct myself by whispering $3 Shows..... but there was no point everyone was totally silent and staring at me like I needed to not be in there presence anymore so I quickly escorted myself out ... I CANNOT BELIVE I SAID THIS.. but I thought from your perspective --- the reader--- ... it might be enjoyable for you to bask in someone elses embarrassment ! I feel like i need to leave the country now....
