It was an incredible honor to be inducted into the Perry High School Distinguished Hall of Fame last night. But like so many things in my life there is a grandchild story somehow involved and this is no exception. When my oldest grandson Jimmy (11) who is mostly an all A student and a pretty amazing little athlete in every sport he plays heard I was being inducted he was pumped. Grampa..I heard you are to get in the Perry Hall of Fame. That is so cool!! What sport he asks? Well Jimmy, Im not going in the athletic Hall of Fame I am going into something called the Distinquished Hall of Fame. His eyes dropped a little and then he said...Oh ok Grampa...well I guess thats nice too. Geez I wish I had been a better athlete!!
