It was another beautiful morning in Brabyns Park this morning - TopicsExpress

It was another beautiful morning in Brabyns Park this morning where we were joined by 63 runners, including 9 first timers. We saw some great running again today despite the mud. Maxwell Rarity and Cameron Murdoch crossed the line in 8:08, closely followed by Joseph Byrne in 8:15. Freya Murdoch was the first girl home (7th overall) in 09:03. Rebecca Cox came in second in 09:50 and Jasmine Reed was the third girl over the line in 09:54. Well done to everyone! This week we had the pleasure of awarding a blue, half marathon wristband to Isabelle Stutchfield. Well done, Isabelle – your photo will be in our Facebook Hall of Fame album shortly. Don’t forget that we also have a Flickr group and there are some lovely pics from today’s run, lots of smiles and some brilliant race faces >>> https://flickr/groups/marple-juniors-parkrun/ . Marple junior parkrun was 6 months old today :-) and, during our 26 parkruns, we have been joined by 427 different runners who have completed 2,079 runs (a total distance of 4,158 km) and there have been 543 new Personal Bests – four of which were achieved today. Fantastic! We had quite a haul of lost property this morning. In addition to the Hello Kitty hoodie and the black jacket that have been keeping us company for the last few weeks, our kit crate now contains a hi-vis running jacket (size 7-8), a girl’s fleece (pink with white hearts) and a man’s grey sweatshirt. Please let us know if any of these belong to you – we will, of course, bring them next week. A big ‘THANKS’, as always, to our wonderful team of volunteers this morning - we could not do this without you. Have a great week – see you soon!
