It was in this season, eight years ago, that we began to venture from our familiar. Obediently but awkwardly we moved towards a different purpose, with different people, in a different way. Within a few months it appeared to be over but God continued to stir this undeniable passion in my gut for people, big and little, that were outside the framework I once knew. Like nomads we continued, it was a little crazy at times as we pressed on with what we named Restore Outreach Ministries. It had to live so about 16 months later we began and planted a church called The Gathering Church. It was problematic and odd but it was about loving God and people - undeniably. Some ask and respond how could you leave your familiar and I would simply reply, how can I not. We wouldnt change anything in this world for this journey of learning and we still have a ways to go but what I do know is that God is faithful to what He has promised and it is never, ever wrong to help and love people - even if you were unfamiliar with them. #Godisgood #shift #lovemybrothersandsisters #getout
