It was one of those days of random thoughts on the Naked Authors website today (nakedauthors). Ive mused on a few things - from my naturalization application, to skunks under the house and the outrageous cost of any dog with a breed name ending in oodle. Aw, bless, theyre lovely arent they - but how much??? And just to add, Im getting very excited about my new novel due out this summer (The Care and Management of Lies - July publication), so Ill be starting to send out a few newsletters with more information soon. Ill be talking about my background research to the book, which is set in the opening months of the Great War, and about the inspiration for the novel - I first had the idea for the story when I was about 26, which as I might have noted already was in the last ice age. Writing this book was really a dream come true for me. For those of you wondering about Maisie Dobbs - shell be back in the spring of 2015.
