It was refreshing and inspiring to listen to independent senate candidate Larry Pressler speak yesterday at the Black Hills Forum and Press Club. He thoroughly understands and speaks about efficient and realistic policy-making. He is in a position to make those policies actually happen. He answers questions honestly and with integrity, not based on what people might want to hear. His election will be a big step toward ending gridlock between the R team versus D team political maneuvering and self-preservation strategical moves that currently are all too prevalent. He said that politicians need to get along, not go along, and he will make a real difference for our state and the country. We should all vote for who we really believe in, not who we think has a chance to win based on unscientific polls that come from the opinions of just a very few people who happened to answer their phone. This is the first time Ive ever posted about something political. I care about this too much not to say something.
