It was wonderful to spend the morning exploring the world of words in our Word Masters workshop this morning. We continue to work on recognising and developing emotional context. Analysis means nothing without emotional context. Emotion gives it purpose. Write in it every day if you can. - Explore spoken word poetry. Look up poets and artists such as Shane Koyczan. Sarah Kay, Taylor Mali (the poet) and local poet Mumblr. Listen to their work, focusing on emotion rather than analysis. Let yourself feel the poetry. WHAT IS SPOKEN WORD POETRY?
