It will be the 70th anniversary after the end of WW II in the next year 2015. Reconstruction of the US military policy on Japan, not only in Okinawa but also every other US military base in Japan, and rewrite of the treaty between the 2 countries. All thing about Japan and the US has been kept almost same-no major change- since the end of WW II. Its mostly outdated. Japan needs to rebuild its own military defense, and the US needs to cut down the budget for military expense which might help the US economy more or less. Japan is not a threat anymore. We rewrite everything we need to rewrite to further our national interests and strengthen the alliance. Japan is no longer the main nemesis of the United States of America.
