It would be interesting to hear what John Idzik has to say regarding Woody Johnson and the Jets origination if he gets fired. Personally, I don’t think the guy realized he was walking into a toxic situation. Could someone please point out to me a general manager in the NFL that’s not allowed to select his own head coach, coaching staff and scouting department? The Bart Hubbuch article brings up some good points. It defies all logic to think Idzik has locked the Jets wallet all on his own or his refusing to spend money against Johnson’s wishes. It also makes me wonder if he doesn’t have the final say with player personnel with all the restrictions in place on John Idzik. That’s why the silly conspiracy theory that he set Rex Ryan up to get fired is silly. Woody Johnson would have to be the driver of that agenda in order for John Idzik to pull it off. The majority of the blame for the Jets debacle should go to Woody Johnson!
