It would be very fair and utterly practical if the division of the states was to be made on the basis of natural resources like lake, river or even mountains. The whole state for cultural identity is just a backward step. It is sure to welcome a cultural war within the country no matter how much we deny. We are just not ready for more decades of underdevelopment, war and destruction. We just cant afford it. Where the world is becoming a melting pot of all the cultures, we Nepalese are busy fighting for a piece of land to prove our identity! Ironic. Your festivals, rituals, norms, dresses and cuisines and people preserve your culture not a piece of land would do. By demanding ethnocentric states, we are copying the half centuries old format of India.We Nepalese, i am very sorry to say, are sheep.
