Its 4:39 a.m. Im exhausted. Today consisted of getting everything together to load into a venue to play a hugely important show to me: My solo CD release show. This is a show that Ive been anticipating for about a year and a half since I first stepped foot into Covenant Studios last summer to start recording Train Wrecks... It was kind of a big deal to me. And it was a blast! Admittedly Id hoped for a slightly better turnout, but on the other hand, the people that WERE there are some of the people I hold most near and dear to my heart. Some of the most amazing people in the entire world were all in one place at one time. Some of the most incredible musicians too were all in the same room. People from all walks of life coming together to rock out to MY music. Thats pretty amazing really if you think about it. It was so good that my Dad fainted at the end of the show and ended up leaving on a stretcher to go to the emergency room fearing a minor heart attack. I was relieved to hear upon my arrival at the hospital that it was not a heart attack, but rather dehydration, a little too much drinking, and some blood pressure issues. But Im glad I convinced him to stick around for the last song, or else that episode could have happened behind the wheel... So there was that. And yeah, that was scary stuff. And well, since Chris Davis was so generous to let me borrow his truck, my new roommate Alex and I took advantage and went to his place to move some of the larger items over to the house. So yeah... Im freakin tired. But I humbly thank every last one of you who were at the show. You guys have no idea what it meant to see you there. But that show wouldnt have been possible without the tireless efforts of the astounding musicians and crew who worked their asses off to make this the awesome experience that it was. So here goes: Thank you to my new wonderful band: The Scarlet Letters for playing my songs better than I did! - Roxi Quinn, Kelsey Cook, Lauren Ashley, and Jennifer Adams Roswold. I cant wait to do it again... (hopefully you want to do it again, because I sure do!) Thanks to Matthew Russo and Robert Harmon for making us sound awesome. Thanks to Steve Schad and his great lighting work. You made us LOOK great. Thanks to Jeff Hattem, Josh Lavine, and Wayne King for helping with all the stage stuff. And thanks to the folks at Music House for helping out with the kids! Thanks to Big Dudes Music City for supplying us with some great guitar amps! Thanks to Jayme Bojanski for manning the merch table all night long. And special thanks to Jim Parker and Matt Hartnett for helping me get things loaded out quickly so that I could go check on my dad. Thanks to Music House, Patrick Woolam, and David George for getting up there and putting on great entertaining shows for everyone. And of course once again, thanks to all who attended, bought a CD or a t-shirt, and made this one very memorable awesome event! Good Night!!!
