Here is our curator’s response: My first memory of visiting a museum entailed travelling into the city of Montreal from the suburbs to visit the The Château Ramezay. I fell in love with the architecture, the silent surroundings and the way the artifacts were thoughtfully displayed. The experience was magical to me, somehow I felt I had been transported into the past. The whole experience left a very meaningful mark on me! Coincidentally, my husbands family has artifacts that are part of the Museum’s collection as his ancestors settled in Quebec in the 1610s. - Carolyn Cross, Curator of Collections, Oakville Museum
