Which means well have some quick hits for news and updates from around the Super Sled Universe. * First off, Im getting pretty frustrated with the onslaught of classified ads here on the page......and am quickly wearing out on the commercial ads that keep popping up. Super Sled isnt an advertising page. Its not a swap meet page. Its an informational page for high-performance snowmobiling, and I intend to keep it that way. I dont want to have to spend hours a day deleting classified stuff, so please respect what we have here with our page and group. Steve Clark has two excellent swap meet pages for both trail stuff and drag race stuff. Use them. * If you missed the test pass on the webcast for the World Series on Wednesday night, youll want to make sure to tune in next time the broadcast is updated. I can see this becoming a very useful tool for races and sanctioning bodies over time. Thanks to Joel Schmechel for his ground-breaking efforts on bringing a web cast to the World Series. * The new National Hot Sled Racing Alliance has hit the ground running! The new Porta-Tree timing system is on the way, and the ISR Paperwork has all been filed. There is one Ice Drag already secured (pending DNR permits) which should be a great kick-off for the group in Michigan. Several other events and promoters have been in discussion with the NHSRA for the grass season for some MAJOR events next Fall. The group is also seeking a partner promoter for putting on at least one more Ice Drag in 2015, some time after the World Series. * The Minot 660 Ice Racers have secured their race date for the Detroit Lakes, MN event on January 16-18. This should be a good kick off to the ice season for the racers across the North Central states and Canadian Provinces. Feel free to share any updates that might be of interest to our Super Sled family here on this thread. Were all interested in anything that has to do with go-fast sleds, be it drag racing, speed running, oval sprint, oval enduro, or vintage. Lets hear it!
