Its July 27 and on this day in 2003, legendary actor-comedian Bob Hope dies at age 100 in Toluca Lake, CA. Known for entertaining American servicemen and women for more than five decades, Hope had a career that spanned the whole range of 20th century entertainment, from Vaudeville to Broadway musicals to radio, television and movies. Im telling my age, but while in the U.S. Air Force, I had the opportunity to see Bob Hope Live when he came to the Osan Air Base in Korea for USO Christmas Special in 1970. Really exciting.
