Its Veterans Day*. As I have noted in the past, I actually know it more as Armistice Day (because I consume 1950s pop culture); in UK-dominated parts of the world, its Remembrance Day. All of these combine in me to take the form of a wish for peace, for the end of war, for the safety and welfare of our warriors. Im an idealist; I have unshakable faith that the world can be made better than it is, and that we can work together to make the world better. I am related to many veterans, and friend to many more. A wish for peace, an end to war, and the safety and welfare of our warriors. *Note that the US has a distinction which is mostly ignored, and probably rightly so: Memorial Day is for dead veterans, Veterans Day is for those who did serve but are not now serving, and Armed Services Day is for those who are now serving. Im happy to honor all of those all three days, and the other 362 as well.
