Its a cruel world. The amount of wealth that a man gets is usually proportionate to how many people he is willing to step on to get there. How does one rebel against such a world? Rebels and heathens, barbarians and savages are often depicted and seen as the shady group that is hellbent on destroying civilization and society. And in reality many of us are indeed actively rebelling! But I, for one, propose non-violent rebellion. Why? Those hellbent on conquering the world, gaining all the money and the luxuries of the world, those who call us savages: they are the ones who use these violent techniques of divide and conquer, of genocide, of bloodlust. To them our lives are pawns in their games of world dominance. If we react with equal viciousness, even if we do manage to win, what would separate us from them? We would become the very thing we despised for so long. Indeed, many participants in rebellions lament that after winning the revolution, they became almost mirror images of the unjust society they overthrew. (See Soviet Russia). True rebellion is what occurs when we focus less on conquest and more on the celebration of life and those around us. On the love and laughter around us. As dreamy as that sounds, I know Im not the only one, as a great man once said.
