{Its a long read...but a good read guaranteed} I put the call out to some handmaidens to help out with donations towards a special project I am working on and well can I just say I feel so grateful to be part of the handmade community...I got a whole lot more than I bargained for! I didnt really go into what my plans were for but now Im ready to share with you all what I have planned!!! This project Let your Light Shine has been a dream of mine for a loooong time!!!! Initially it was going to be for disadvantaged girls or orphaned girls. It was proving too difficult to find orphaned girls so decided on finding 5 or so darling girls who are battling cancer and are in treatment or just finished. The aim is get a few awesome handmaidens together and make a party dress for the girls and provide them a memorable High Tea for them. Basically making these girls feel like a princess (makeup and hair) for the day and while this is all taking place making sure all memories are captured by taking professional images for their parents as a keepsake in their special, custom made dresses. A gift box full of donated handmade goodies will be gifted to them on the day so they can take home and cherish. So many beautiful handmaidens are coming together to make this happen...so so heart warming to see this all come together. Things such as dolls, bracelets, hair accessories, wall art, bags, jewellery, cupcakes and lots more are being donated. The mums of these girls are overwhelmed and so happy that their little girls are getting some time out. This event is booked for the 25th October in Adelaide. Girls range from 6-10. If there is anyone else that would like to contribute towards goodies in gift box..please inbox me. Im so grateful to have some ahhmaazing businesses support this event...its going to be such a memorable event for these precious girls!
