Its alive! Stay healthy during cold/flu season. Here is my recipe for first signs of cold soup: put 3 tbsp butter in a large stock pot add 1 whole sliced onion, 2-3 cups stemmed and sliced shiitake mushrooms and minced garlic. Sautée until nicely browned then add 1/3 gallon of water, a big squirt of liquid aminos or tamari and a dab of hot pepper sesame oil. While this comes to a boil cut up 4 boneless og chicken thighs and add to the water. Thinly slice a huge bundle of fresh kale and julienne carrots and add. Let this boil a bit while you mix 1/4 cup miso paste in 1/3 gallon of warm (not boiling) water. When chicken is cooked and carrots are just tender, turn down the heat to lowest setting and add the miso. Never boil after this point, serve warm for increased immunity and comfort.
