Its all systems go in Penny Dinners...Ruairi and the wonderful staff Of The River Lee Hotel traditionally provide us with Christmas Day Dinner and this year theres great excitement again as its the full stuffed turkey and ham with all the trimmings and more....We would like to say a very big thank you to our neighbours and friends at The River Lee Hotel for giving us this beautiful gift at Christmas whereby all who struggle either financially or emotionally are cared for with love. Our dedicated team of volunteers pull out all the stops everyday of the year and today will again do trojan work to ensure all who come are minded. Our Volunteers are Inspirational and a pleasure to work side by side with, very long hours for some and hard grafting is the key to our survival and success. Our families, friends and you the men, women and children of Cork at home or abroad and indeed our friends from all corners of the earth are the backbone of Penny Dinners. You keep our doors open, You feed all in need, You pay our bills and You have given us a building fund. The outpouring of love and support from you guys this Christmas has been phenomenal. We are emotional wrecks over the way you help us to do our job. We have been able to help so many, you guys are our encouragement. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
