Its amazing how social media works. I was catching up with my notifications, when I noticed someone I did not know had not only liked a post I wrote back in January about Pete Seeger, but also shared it in a group. He mentioned how he had just met someone on fb (another person I do not know) and saw my post on her wall. It brought back some happy moments for him, listening to Mr. Seeger and thinking about all the things Pete Seeger sang about. It made me think how much we miss Pete and how his voice is really needed today. So, Im ending this evening with Pete as my peace quote. What better way to end the evening than remembering Mr. Seeger and how he supported civil rights for all, racial equality, international understanding, and anti-militarism, hammering out justice, ringing the bell of freedom, and, most importantly, singing about love between my brothers and my sisters all over this land.
