Its been REAL (y) As I so often say to friends...All things for a reason. Just as true for myself - and Im coming to terms with what happened over the past 2 weeks. Its been a great eye opener (y) The last couple of years has been tough on my family - as Ive forged ahead with a dillusional belief that I was destined for something greater than....my reality! Time to take my medicine as we say at golf...and get back to being me. Have to stop making promises I cant keep - stop giving hope where there is none. So many who dont really know me...think Im an optimist. The truth is Im a self confessed REALIST. Theres no future in what Ive been pushing...trying to make people do something against their will - consumers - retailers - farmers. Ive been talking up the prospect of expansion and co-operative franchises...yet I cant even shift my milk - ONE dairy :/ Back to the family farm - I think they need me more than the outside world. Tours will continue - we need to keep educating kids and families about food production and the critical importance of agriculture. The motivation for that venture was always for the greater good...never about me. I will also continue to meet off farm obligations and help wherever I can - Moo Baa Munch...Rural Discovery Day...Ekka... This page will also continue...as will 4REAL MILK. I guess we will remain a drop in the ocean - or about 0.5% of Qlds domestic fresh milk requirement. Of course a growing proportion of the remaining 99.5% will become UHT - just as it is in most of Europe. But dont worry...Im not interested in saying, I told you so when that day comes - it was obviously meant to be. Trying to smile as I say goodnight...I know the sun will again be shining tomorrow. (and the Aussies are only 2 wickets away from knocking of the world champs in Cape Town, SA (y) ) Cheers, Farmer Gregie ;)
