Its been a dream of mine to the complete the JMT for the last 15 years. I set out on 9/2/2013 with Joel Livesey going Northbound(Whitney to Yosemite) but was only able to complete Whitney and Forrester Pass exiting out of Onion Valley due to attitude sickness. I wasnt about to give up on my dream. So I trained hard with the Bakersfield Distance Project and Andy Noise and planned to return in 2014. So I planned my trip to go Southbound (Yosemite to Whitney) on 9/11/2014 but due to the fires was rerouted to enter at Tuolumne meadows. I was only able to get a limited of days off from work, but I was determined to finish JMT. I am PROUD to SAY that I finished Tuolumne Meadows to Glen Pass exiting out of Onion Valley on 9/20/2014. I hiked over 170 miles of JMT. I was humbled by the beauty that I saw and highs and lows of such a epic adventure that I will forever be changed by it in many ways. I might of been hiking alone but I was never alone with all the wonderful thoughts and prayers of so many friends and family. I am truly blessed and a lucky girl. I just want to Thank all my friends and coworkers for your endless support. I especially want to thank Andy Noise, whose great coaching and friendship whose always been there to give of his time for me and others to achieve their dreams no matter how crazy those dreams might be. Joel Livesey for all his support and super cool new JMT sticker. They were there for me at the end to bring me safety home. I will forever be grateful to them. WE DID IT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of all to my Family who never tell me You cant do that, You are too old. Instead they say Go For It. We are Proud of You.
