Its been a good week. We arrived in Guatemala on Friday night, drove straight to Panajachel where we spent the night. On Saturday we crossed the Lake to San Pedro and the first ever operators conference for the Solola District. After the conference we returned to Panajachel, picked up our rental and drove to Antiqua where we spent Saturday night. Sunday morning we drove to Escuentla for a site survey, and that afternoon drove to Chicacao for a second site survey. Then to Coatepeque to check on the site for the December Trip. Then to Matzatanago where we spent Sunday night. Monday morning we drove to Dan Francisco Zapotitlan for a site survey, and to check on the system that was installed in July. That afternoon we drove to Retalhuleu for another survey. Then to Malacatan to spend the night. Tuesday we surveyed two more sites in the area, and checked on the two sites we will be working at next month, then drove to Xela to spend the night. Today we did two more surveys in the area around Xela, then drove back to Guatemala City. All told over 500 miles of driving, most at about 60 kilometers per hour. Tomorrow we fly home! With these 8 surveys completed, we now we have a total of 14 sites pending water system installations.
