Its been a little more than a week and Ive made some great - TopicsExpress

Its been a little more than a week and Ive made some great progress. The last of my scabs have come off of my face, the bruising on my body is turning colors and I am walking a lot better. My big nose is still tender but the swelling has gone down. Alexus has made some great strides as well. She is working with Physical Therapy and is doing relatively well. She wont be able to put any weight on her hips for at least 3 months. In the meantime she will be completely bed ridden. Fun huh? I feel really bad for her because its summertime and I know she doesnt want to be retrained to a bed. :0( Shes trying to stay positive and that helps A LOT! Along with the accident we were in the middle of moving into our place. There were boxes everywhere, a lot of laundry that needed to be done and not a whole lot of room to work with. My family came through for us and helped out a bunch! I appreciate my mom for staying here with us for a week. She wore many hats while she was here. Thank you for taking care of me and helping around the house by unpacking, doing laundry, organizing and making sure Aiden ate. You also helped by driving us around to my appointments, to visit Alexus and to do other errands. Now that youre not here Im not sure what Ill do because you helped me so much. Thank you Mom, I love you. I also want to say thank you to my Dad, sister & brother in-law for bringing Aiden to me right away and for bringing my Mom. You guys stepped right up and helped with stuff around the house while I was in the hospital and I appreciate that. Thanks for driving me around as well. I definitely couldnt have done what you guys did and Im so very thankful. You guys made my life a bit easier in a big way by moving a lot of the heavy boxes and furniture and taking things to the garage for me. Thank you guys, I love you. Last but not least, I appreciate those who have called, texted, checked in on us, kept us in your thoughts and prayers and just plain cared. This is just the beginning of our recovery, not just mine or Alexus but our family as a whole. I value my family and my friendships and youve all made a difference in my life. Thank you! XOXO Peace and many Blessings, Norm & the kids
