Its been a little while since I strolled into controversial waters so here I go. Subject matter; those nasty four letter words. We all know them and some of us are extremely offended by then. While others could care less. I guess Im one of the little less offended. The reason being is that my son in his wisdom said to me one day, Dad there just words comprised of letters like any other word. But it still took me a while to come to the understanding that he was right. Why are we so offended by some words and others dont affect us at all. And who decided to make those words so offensive. Who decided they were bad words. If you ask me one of the most offensive four letter words that can slip past the lips of anyone is hate. In the New American Standard Bible the word hate is used 93 times. Numerous times it is to describe one of Gods attributes. The word hate appears 17 times in the Koran. In my personal opinion the word hate should not be associated with any God that is depicted as a God of love. So to me, personally, the most offensive four letter word in the English language is hate.
