Its been a long, but very pleasant day. Breakfast at Cracker Barrel (marred only by the fact that I had to convince the duty manager to call the general manager to confirm that I was NOT, in fact, going to pay $1.25 per egg for my extra eggs. -- no, I did not have to break his nose.) I WAS annoyed that he said I was rude about it, when I neither raised my voice or got upset. When did being direct and straightforward, and refusing to take someones shit become rude? All I did, when the manager said Well I cant change policy was say, flatly,Call your general manager. How is this rude or nasty? Then, off to scenic early-settlement Fort Boonesborough. Its a neat place for any recreationist, with craftspeople working in front of you -- really The only problem was walking around after yesterdays leg workout. Going down even a small slope made my quads scream. . Finally off to dinner at some place Id been hearing about since I moved here -- Halls on the River. The food was GREAT, the service delightful, and I was stuffed. Finally got a decent birthday dinner. Thats all. Signing out.
