Its been a long summer of anxious waiting as a surplus teacher. In fact, as of a few weeks ago, there were still about 450 of us newly minted educators stuck in limbo. I find it somewhat ironic, as many of the new teachers Ive met are also some of the most enthusiastic, prepared, and overly optimistic folks out there, But I get it. Seniority. I try not to think too often about things I cant change. The point is, after some serious back and forth, my new home is going to be none other than First Coast High School.
