Its been about 6 to 7 months that I have been practicing Yoga faithfully in a class with other participants and at first I was overwhelmed, breath, hold the pose, relax, quieten the mind. Last night was incredible I was in the moment, my breath was relaxed and went with the flow of my poses and the meditation piece was gentle.Thoughts would float in and I would attach them to my breath and they would exit with the exhale. Meditation and Yoga really compliment each other and the way it has helped with my body image is incredible as well as my mental health. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone struggling with any kind of mental health or body image issues. I found that it really resonates outside the class in all types of situations I feel prepared to handle ups and downs easier, I focus on the situation at hand not what couldve been or what should be or what my anxiety would have done in the past, it is all here and now what is present and what is actual and I bring that to my family life as well as work. Thanks for giving me a safe place to share.
