Its been almost 7 months since Typhoon Yolanda hit the Visayas. My team and I were very lucky to have survived it. Kudos to my cameraman, Rollie Malicsi for being able to capture some of the best footage of the super typhoon. Our story of survival, together with that of storm chaser James Reynolds and his team, was featured on The Weather Channels Weather: Caught on Camera. It aired June 6th in the US. Sharing it now with those who werent able to catch it. We didnt survive the storm for nothing though, we will definitely keep going back to Tacloban to report on the recovery. We will keep pushing our government and the international community to do more.
