Its been exactly a year to the day that I was in car accident. Make no mistake, every day has been a struggle. I try to make good days but mostly I allow days of discouragement. For whatever reason, this past week has been an overwhelming reminder of how far of track I am. I awoke this morning lost and confused. Shortly after however I found myself face to face with a kid whom as the Cops story progresses, we learn has just survived on of those real life horror stories that makes you cringe just thinking about it. As I looked in into his tired, weary, alone and lost eyes ... a profound realization accured . I knew deep down that lost and weary no longer lived within, it stood before me. I reached in pocket and withdrew the money, handed it to him, shook his hand and with a sense of encouragement I wished him the best of luck and prayed for his safe travel. As I left I couldnt help but ask if I really did all I could... Thats when I put a shout out on FB. Let me tell you how God is great.. I had one concerned response, but God brought just the right one.... a HUGE thank you goes to out to Clarissa. Whom wrote back saying she would buy a bus ticket for him. And I was fortunate enough to be able to go pick him up and say I found your way home Clarissa, you not only saved the day. You went above and beyond. You took your kindness and generosity to a level that far exceeded what I hoped for. You added a little extra money, a hot meal and a ride to bus stop. You not only solved that boys un imaginable problem, you shed light on a darkened heart. What peace you have brought, ...for who could ever be lost with such a friend as you. Your amazing. And no words could ever amount to my gratefulness and appreciation. Thank you.
